Please find information on the 2016-17 coaching requirements as sent out by District Coach in Chief, Larry Rocha.
CLINICS in the New England District are starting to be posted. I have asked my CEP Instructors to please have clinics posted by the end of July or early August. More clinics will be posted in the near future but we need to encourage coaches to not wait until the last minute.
The LEVEL 4 CLINIC next weekend in CT is maxed out at 165 coaches (originally max was 150 but I was able to added a few more spots). If any other coach needs a Level 4 Clinic there will be one in Brewster, NY in September and one in Dedham, MA in October.
AFFILIATE MEETINGS: As in the past, I would like to get out to at least one Affiliate Meeting in each state. It is best if I can get these meetings done before my season starts at Saint Anselm College. Please let me know what dates might work.
COACHING GUIDELINES: I have attached the 2016-2017 Coaching Guidelines, Coaches Check List and Avoiding the Coaching Cliff documents. There are a few changes. One: USA Hockey will be using 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 15, 16U, 18U instead of Mites, Squirts, Pee Wees, Bantams and Midgets. Two: There is also a 15 National Bound level. These coaches will need Level 4 if they are currently Level 3.
